Application deadline 07 February 2025

 

For 17 years, THE HEAVENT AWARDS, co-organised by HEAVENT and NEWS ÉVÉNEMENTS, have been celebrating the most outstanding events of the past year. They represent a unique opportunity to give a high visibility to the best event achievements that took place between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2024.

Since 2023, the HEAVENT AWARDS have also rewarded :
– venues and/or destinations that have produced or coproduced major events
– service providers who have produced exceptional technical events
NB: for these last 2 Awards, please refer to the section CATEGORIES LOCATIONS/DESTINATIONS/PROVIDERS at the bottom of the page.

SCHEDULE FOR THE EVENT AGENCIES :

1/ Complete the application form(s) before 07th February 2025
(access the form at the bottom of this page)

Online registration is open from 16th December 2024 to 07th February 2025. All companies, agencies, exhibition and conference organisers who have produced an event corresponding to one of the 9 categories below are eligible to apply. Please note that the same application may be submitted in a maximum of 2 categories.

Attention :
applications will only be accepted once the entry fee has been paid and the application form has been duly completed.

2/ Selection of finalists at the end of February 2025

The partner associations, Heavent, News Evenements and some members of the jury will select 3 to 7 finalists per category.
The nominated agencies will be informed by email.

3/ Presentation on 26th and 27th March 2025

For each shortlisted entry, the candidates (agency and client) will have to present together their project live in front of the jury on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th March in Cannes.
The presentations will be held over the two days and will be followed by a deliberation session of the jury. Their votes represent 60% of the final score.

4/ HEAVENT AWARDS ceremony on 27th March 2025

It will take place in the “Grand Auditorium” of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes in presence of all the actors of the event sector: Top buyers and participants of Heavent Meetings. They will participate in the election of the winners by voting for 40% of the final score.

AGENCY CATEGORIES

1 – BtoB event award

Event targeting a professional audience in any format: meeting, conference, trade fair, roadshow, seminar, evening event, product launch, etc.

2 – BtoC event award

Event aimed at an end customer in any format: meeting, conference, trade fair, roadshow, evening event, pop-up store, etc.

3 – Influence and media relations event award

Event designed to establish, strengthen and/or manage brand or product awareness and image via communication tools with influencers, journalists, the media and/or Key Opinion Leaders, etc.

4 – Travel, incentive or team building award

Event designed to thank and/or motivate teams, employees or partners.

5 – Internal communication event award

Event targeting an internal audience: sharing information, strengthening cohesion/relationships, celebration. Format: meeting, product launch, sales force meeting, internal evening, seminar, etc.

6 – Public & Consumer brand activation award

Event designed to directly engage consumers / public with a brand. Objective: create an emotional bond and buzz, raise brand awareness, generate business. Formats: pop-up store, street-marketing, game, event, digital campaign, roadshow, festival, etc.

7 – Exceptional/commemorative events and grand ceremony award

A spectacular and unique event such as a commemoration, grand ceremony or summit, gathering a large number of guests and involving exceptional and memorable design, technical and logistical execution.

8 – Fashion show award (fashion, beauty, luxury)

Prestigious event dedicated to the presentation of collections, products or concepts related to the fashion, beauty or luxury sectors. Format: catwalk/runway or show.

9 – Sports brand activations event award – summer 2024

Event-based initiatives to promote a brand as part of the major world sporting events in the summer of 2024. Formats: roadshow, pop-up store, fan zone, ephemeral boutique, sporting challenge, etc.

In addition, the jury will also award the Grand Prix France du Jury and the International Grand Prix du Jury.

These special awards will not be voted on by the public.

RATING CRITERIA (common to each category)

  • Creativity/innovation: creative, original idea and technological innovation
  • Quality of production: design, finish, technical expertise, logistics, etc.
  • Effectiveness: achievement of objectives (ROI, KPIs, studies, media and/or business impact, etc.)
  • Quality of the oral presentation in front of the jury
  • CSR: taking environmental and social issues into account in the execution of the project
  • Common presentation by the agency AND the client

AGENCY CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

By submitting an entry form, each candidate undertakes to respect the rules:

  • The deadline for sending the elements: administrative file, questionnaire, videos, participation fees, etc.
  • The conformity of the elements requested
  • The schedule for the presentations: agencies AND clients agree to be available on 26th and 27th March 2025 for the presentation in Cannes (departure on 28th March 2025).

AGENCY DEADLINE OF ENTRIES AND PROVIDING OF ELEMENTS

CATEGORIES LOCATIONS/DESTINATIONS/PROVIDERS

– Award for the event produced or co-produced by a destination, exhibition centre or convention centre

– Award for outstanding technical achievement by a service provider

Online entries are open from 16th December 2024 to 07th February 2025.
Eligible applicants are:

  • Venues, destinations, exhibition and convention centres that have produced or co-produced a major event between 1st January 2024 and 31st December 2024
  • Service providers who have produced an exceptional technical event between 1st January 2024 and 31st December 2024

These entries will not be presented to the HEAVENT AWARDS jury. They will be submitted exclusively to the public vote at the HEAVENT AWARDS ceremony on 27th March 2025.

Applications will be validated only on receipt of payment of the participation fee and on condition that the application form is duly completed.

950 euros excl. VAT (1140 euros including VAT) for the first application
400 euros excl. VAT (480 euros including VAT) for each additional application
An early bird rate is available if you submit your application before 15th January 2025:
850 euros excl. VAT (1020 euros including VAT) for the first application
350 euros excl. VAT (420 euros including VAT) for each additional application

We are pleased to offer three nights at a 5* hotel in Cannes on 25th, 26th and 27th March 2025 to the nominees shortlisted by the jury (2 persons per nomination: 1 person from the agency and 1 person from the client) who will have been shortlisted by the jury and who will have to take part in the presentations in Cannes.
